Here at Simple Seasonal, Dan and I are super excited to announce that I’m now a contributing writer for the lifestyle blog Simple As That. If you’re someone who embraces simplicity and beauty in everyday life, you’re going to love Simple as That. Be sure to check it out!
To get things started with Simple As That, I thought it would be important to make a good first impression. Have you ever made a bad first impression? It’s the worst! I feel like most of my high school experience was based on a bad first impression. My punishment was a couple of years of sitting with the nerds at the front of the class with feigned interest about all things related to high school. Okay, maybe I was a nerd and I belonged there, but I like to think I had a chance at being considered cool. If only I had just made a better first impression… In college it was a lot cooler to be smart. Now those were the days!
When it comes to food blogging, I figure there are various ways to make a good first impression. I could cook something incredibly challenging and wow everyone with my culinary prowess, but that’s not really my style. I’m all about keeping it nice and simple in the kitchen, after all. So I figured I had three choices: drizzly chocolate, dippy and sticky sauce, or stretchy cheese. I decided to go for the stretchy cheese in this Rustic Italian One-Pot Chicken and Rice. It’s full of whole grain goodness, veggies, and chicken, along with everyone’s favorite Italian flavors and stretchy cheese. Not to mention, clean-up is a breeze! Be sure to head over to Simple As That to read the full article and get this yummy recipe for cooking up in your own cozy kitchen!
