One Pan Honey Sriracha Chicken and Sweet Potato Skewers – Think warm thoughts with these spicy, sweet, and sticky skewers that will drive away the winter blues and get you ready for spring!
It’s the end of February and it’s a glorious 68º F outside in sunny Philadelphia. I’m under no delusions that this sublime weather is actually going to last. That said, I am just about ready to take what might be an unrequited leap into spring and say that this is indeed my last winter recipe for the season. I’m hoping that my wishful thinking (and cooking) will be rewarded with many more warm, sunny days and fresh flavors!
I thought I’d end the chilly season with something spicy to spur on some more warm weather. This recipe for Honey Sriracha Chicken and Sweet Potato Skewers has totally got a flavorful thing going on that Sriracha lovers everywhere will go nuts over. The easy-to-make Honey Sriracha Marinade ties together the chicken, red bell peppers, and winter sweet potatoes with a meal that becomes sticky, spicy, sweet, and savory once baked.
The best thing is that this meal doesn’t take that much time to put together (and it won’t make too many dishes, either). Also, if you’re missing firing up the grill, these skewers are cooked in the oven so you can get the impression of a grilled meal to tide you over until it gets just a little bit warmer outside.
I hope you will join me in making these spicy skewers and in thinking warm thoughts to usher in the new spring season!
Think warm thoughts with these spicy, sweet, and sticky skewers that will drive away the winter blues and get you ready for spring! I recommend serving these Honey Sriracha Chicken and Sweet Potato Skewers with instant garlic couscous, which is available at most grocery stores.
